Head of Apprenticeship Growth & Development
Up to £70K OTE (up to £45k base)
Permanent - Hours: Monday to Friday 09:00 – 17:30, remote-based with UK travel as required.
As the Head of Apprenticeship Growth and Development, you will be instrumental in driving strategic and operational growth through robust sales activity, proactive account management and cultivating key client relationships.
Your role will focus on building partnerships across Twin Group to identify opportunities and synergies that will further accelerate growth in order to sustain and grow the apprenticeship portfolio.
Accountability for divisional business development performance whilst holding direct reporting lines to the e-training apprenticeship sales division. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, business development skills, and a deep understanding of the apprenticeship landscape.
Furthermore, the ability to inspire and lead a team towards a shared vision will be key to the success of this role.
Our ideal candidate will be expected to demonstrate clear experience and background in the ability to hit and exceed sales targets themselves, whilst driving ambitious, but realistic, development strategies with defined growth metrics that align with wider business strategy. A lead-by-example approach will be required in this role to support a growing and developing sales division.
You will be able to collaborate and think laterally in order to maximise revenue and return on investment through the utilisation of creative program design and cross-selling potential, extending the customer lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead a high-performance BD function and team, with a quality-led approach.
• Conduct market research and analyse industry trends.
• Lead proposal development and contribute to revenue generation.
• Generate a pipeline of opportunities and build senior-level relationships.
• Work towards and achieve targets linked to growth and revenue.
• Attend meetings with decision-makers to discuss training and recruitment needs.
• Provide advice and support to employers on the Apprenticeship Levy and funding reforms.
• Undertake Organisational Needs Analysis and develop training plans tailored to employer requirements.
• Monitor competitors and identify new opportunities.
• Report on sales data and forecasts regularly; meet month-end deadlines.
• Cross-sell other services and products to offer holistic solutions to clients.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and internal quality standards.

Essential Knowledge & Experience
- Experience and knowledge of delivering Apprenticeship standards, including current emerging trends, changes to government policy and industry changes (E)
- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a sales team (E) within the apprenticeship sector (D)
- Experience and knowledge of training and/or assessment delivery (E)
- Experience in the delivery of Digital Skills, Math and English (E)
- Experience and knowledge of Government Funding streams (E)
- Knowledge of funding opportunities and partnerships available within the sector (E)
- Proven track record of ability to propose, build and deliver new business streams, whilst maintaining current targets linked to forecasts (E)
- Assessors or teaching qualification or equivalent, desirable.
